The Florida Aquarium, Center For Conservation Campus in Apollo Beach

The Florida Aquarium’s Center for Conservation (CFC) Campus is a 20-acre campus located approximately 20 miles south of Tampa in Apollo Beach, Florida. As part of a unique collaboration with the Tampa Electric Company and their Manatee Viewing Center, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the University of Florida, the CFC is home to our Coral Conservation and Research (CCRC) and Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Centers (STRC). Guests will transported to CFC and receive behind-the scenes tours of our Coral Care & Rearing Greenhouses, our Coral Spawning Laboratory, our coral and herbivore nursery and our sea Turtle rehabilitation facilities.

Bus will pickup attendees at 9:00 am and return to downtown Tampa around 1:00 pm. Tour fee includes transportation. No meals are included.


Natural Encounters, Inc.

Attendees on the visit to the Natural Encounters Conservation and Education Center will tour the 34-acre facility that houses over 400 birds. Attendees will watch free-flight demonstrations, view the breeding program for the critically endangered Blue-throated Macaws and see a presentation on the repatriation project where we took 14 Blue-throated Macaws to their homeland in Bolivia to participate in the effort to boost the wild population of less than 400 birds. Attendees will also view a presentation on The Art of Training Animals in Zoological Facilities. A hearty lunch will be served, and fun will be had by all.

Tour fee includes transportation and lunch.
